WANT TO LEARN TO TECH? WANT TO BRUSH UP ON ANY SKILLS? WANT TO EXPLORE...AND LEARN THE DARK SECRETS, MYSTERIES, QUIRKS, AND INS-N-OUTS OF OUR BELOVED THEATRE? THEN COME ON DOWN THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 4TH, AT 4 (FOUR) OR 8 (EIGHT) PM TO THE RISLEY THEATRE!

Tech Training usually runs about 30-45 minutes, and includes a tour of the backstage and booth areas, details about the inner workings and past incarnations of both the Theatre and T-Sub, and training and practice time on the sound and light boards. If you are interested in the theatre, as a possible future director, techie, or actor, this is important information! If you would like to be on a list of techies for open calls or work parties, coming to tech training is a good start! Once trained in our theatre, you have all you need to tech any Risley Theatre production!

1. Each November the Denton Drama Troupe puts on a production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, complete with film and cast.

Doors at 10:30pm, show at 11:00

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door and can be reserved by contacting rockytickets@gmail.com

Please be sure to specify how many tickets you would like and for which night you would like them.

2. Charter Review will be happening at 7:30pm on Wednesday November 4 at 7:30pm. Meet in the Risley Rotunda if you want to participate. If you would like to propose a change, please come prepared with the exact wording you would like.

3. Play Proposals for Spring 2010 will be due at Noon on November 18. The schedule for Spring 2010 will be announced at T-sub on November 22.

4. Elections for Administrative Staff will be held on November 22. A nomination sheet is posted in the Risley front hall. Email risleytheatre@cornell.edu for more info.

Play selection is coming up! Play selection for the Spring 2009 season will be held on Sunday, December 7th at 6:00 PM in Risley's CLR. Proposal form can be found at http://www.risleytheatre.org/pages/forms.html. Forms are due by 12pm on Saturday December 6th.

We're soliciting shows of all kinds - Risley Theatre has been host to full blown musicals, one man shows, and everything in between. Please include in your proposal when you would like (we typically give out one week blocks of time), what your technical requirements will be, and what financial resources you will need. Risley Theatre has a small budget that can be used to help fund shows, but receiving space in the theatre does not guarantee you access to funding. Please email risleytheatre@cornell.edu with any questions or proposals - and we'll let you know the results as soon as our 6:00 meeting on Sunday the 7th is concluded!

Theatre Subcommittee meetings are held on Sunday evenings, at 6pm in the Risley CLR, and the first one for Fall 08 will be on Sunday August 31, all are welcome.

There will be elections for Managerial Staff positions in early September. Positions available will be announced 2 weeks before the elections take place. Anyone is welcome to run for a position.
